Light Therapy

A special type of light therapy for the treatment of “white” skin cancer (actinic keratosis and basal cell carzinoma) in its early stages is the effective and targeted PDT, the so-called photodynamic therapy.

The therapy with creams and light is a gentle and effective method. The substance is selectively absorbed by the diseased cells. These cells are then extremely sensitive to red light. The particular advantage of PDT is the high selectivity, meaning that healthy tissue is spared while´simultaneously achieving a mostly excellent cosmetic result. Another advantage of this method: in addition to treating the visible and already existing malignant cells, the invisible malignant cells are treated simultaneously.
