Fungal Skin Infections
FUNGUS CAN EMERGE ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE
Fungal diseases, the so-called mycosis, at the skin and nails, are the most common infectious diseases of our time.
About 30-50% of adults suffer from athlete's foot. About every one in eight persons has nail fungus. In general, fungal infections of the hands and feet are harmless, since the pathogen does not infect the mucous membranes or internal organs.
Treatment is still very important because of the high risk of infection. Moreover, these local infections do not heal by themselves. They can even be a starting point for infections of the entire skin surface, and the scalp.
