CENTER FOR SPECIAL RADIATION ONCOLOLGY IN THE KLINIK AM RING
AN ATMOSPHERE IN WHICH YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE
Spacious rooms flooded with lots of daylight and modern art make for a pleasant atmosphere in our two departments of Radiotherapy & Oncology on both sides of the Rhine. The equipment in our two practices are placed so that you do not feel as a patient in a hospital or a medical practice.
In designing the space, special emphasis was placed on the lighting technology of the department because light is an important factor to create a comfortable atmosphere. Constantly changing exhibits of local artists enhance the atmosphere in the rooms making them friendly and colorful. The art of color has a positive effect on the psyche and well-being of a person.
The peculiarity of the practice in the KLINIK am RING is an approximately 10-ton radiation protection room on the second floor, in which an ultra-modern afterloading system is installed. Since for radiotherapy, the patient must spend a few minutes alone in this space, it was designed especially friendly and colorful.
An eye-catcher when entering our premises at the KLINIK am RING are light walls on which photographs of the Hamburg photographer Till Leeser are installed. These pictures show various grasses photographed at different focal depths. The viewer can at first not distinguish whether it is a painting or a photograph.
